Michigan’s Lavender Graves (previously Traxx Romay) forms a Frankenstein’s monster of a remix of ‘Malkuth,’ retaining the choral elements of the original but also throwing in some Baltimore breaks, a synth which sounds like a guitar in drop D tuning and a trancey bridge section. Despite these seemingly incompatible elements, the end definitely keeps you guessing and it’s not hard to envisage it being dropped in the club as a curveball selection.
